Anchor Tag Design (ATD) is my independent design studio in the Alberta Arts District of NE Portland, Oregon. ATD provides mobile-friendly web design, custom graphics, eCommerce integration, WordPress customization and tutorials, email templates, and more. Other services include custom graphics, layout for print, and product photography. Learn more on my services page. Each site is uniquely built by focusing on the needs of your business and its visitors (potential customers).

About the Name

In HTML, an anchor tag is the link element. The point of the work I do is to build connections with your visitors.
…and it has that cool NW maritime vibe.

About Mario

With twenty plus years of print industry and customer service experience, expanding into the world of web design was a natural evolution. It’s also enhanced my previous skill set in photography, graphics, and layout. After a decade of running 35mm film in a local theater pub, I returned to school – earning an Associate degree in Web Design & Development at Portland Community College (Panther Pride!). In my first gig, I worked as a teacher’s assistant at a code lab. Sharing my experiences and teaching others is incredibly rewarding. I began subcontracting for other web design studios as I was launching ATD in late 2017. Every day I’m thankful for my NE Portland home and my community of friends.
